Environmental Policy
ControlCircle is passionate about preserving the environment. As an eco-conscious company we have become committed to offsetting our carbon footprint in a variety of ways.
With the help of ‘Carbon Smart’, the carbon reduction specialists, and ‘Trees for Cities’ we were able to develop and implement a strategy on how to reduce emissions, reduce our footprint and fund tree planting schemes.
What we do
We ensure the use of blanking plates in our datacentre suites to cut down the intake of cold air and stop re-ventilation of heated air. We also employ dedicated hot and cold aisles to ease the load on the chillers and cooling units.
Internally we:
- Recycle paper, card, plastic, glass, electronics and batteries
- Use recycled stationery
- Use electronic communications to avoid paper wastage
- Ensure employees are educated regarding environmental issues and the implementation of our green policy
- Use low energy light bulbs where possible
- Encourage employees to car share or use public transport
- Regularly service and maintain fleet vehicles to ensure fuel efficiency.
- Encourage staff to take part in our ‘cycle to work’ scheme
