ControlCircle, a leading managed services provider, today announced the company has been ranked in the 11th annual Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 for the third successive year. Ranked 66 in this year’s list, ControlCircle has grown its sales from £4.1m in 2007 to £13.3m in 2010.
Founded in 2001 by president Damian Milkins and chief financial officer Simon Hancock, ControlCircle provides managed IT infrastructure and hosting services to customers such as RSPCA, KPMG and online retailer, Wiggle. The firm has global delivery capabilities spanning the UK, EMEA and Asia. In February 2010, ControlCircle secured £6m of growth capital from Scottish Equity Partners.
Commenting, Carmen Carey, CEO ControlCircle said: “To consistently feature in Britain’s most prestigious league table, tracking the top-performing private technology companies, is recognition of the progress we have made toward our objective of becoming the UK’s foremost managed services provider. Over the past year, ControlCircle received the NetApp partner of the year for the UK and Ireland award and unveiled new cloud services, including an innovative DDoS security solution.”
The 2011 Tech Track 100 was notable for a strong showing from firms that provide outsourced IT services, such as cloud computing and managed hosting with 21 companies operating in this sector.
Carey added: “The emergence of substantial cloud computing implementations signals a shift in attitudes with businesses now prepared to optimise their IT footprint by leveraging cloud capabilities. With ControlCircle’s proven ability to address the complex IT outsourcing needs of global enterprises, our focus for 2012 is on continued market leadership in the delivery of high quality managed and cloud services.”
The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 league table ranks Britain's 100 private tech (TMT) companies with the fastest-growing sales over the latest three years. Tech Track 100 is compiled by Fast Track and published in The Sunday Times each September, with an awards event in November and regional dinners throughout the year. The full findings were published in a special 8-page supplement in the business section of The Sunday Times on 19 September and on www.fasttrack.co.uk
